Cartiere del Polesine to upgrade four paper machines, increase capacity
(Gernsbach, Germany, August 15, 2016) Cartiere del Polesine in Italy plans various rebuilds on its four paper machines. To implement the projects, the company plans to take downtime measures in August that will last up to nearly four weeks.
According to a report on EUWID, a company spokesman said the rebuilds will, amongst others, increase the capacity at Cartiere del Polesine’s two mills from currently 270,000 tpy to 300,000 tpy of recycled corrugated case material. The rebuilds will also serve to improve output quality.
The rebuild projects involve the Loreo mill’s PM 1 and PM 2, which produce fluting/medium, and the Adria mill’s PM 3 (fluting / medium) and PM 4 (fluting / medium / wellenstoff / brown testliner).
