(USA, June 2, 2017) A number of coated paper producers in North America have announced price hikes for many of their products.
Verso is increasing the transaction price of all Coated Freesheet Sheets and Web, Coated Groundwood and Supercalendered grades, effective with all new and existing orders with confirmed delivery dates of July 1, 2017 or later, including but not limited to:

CNG’s Lindenmeyr Munroe Division Acquires Minnesota’s Independent Paper Group
(USA, June 2, 2017) Central National Gottesman Inc. (CNG) announced today that its Lindenmeyr Munroe paper distribution division will acquire the business of St. Paul-based Independent Paper Group, LLC (IPG) in Minnesota.
IPG specializes in a wide range of paper products for the commercial printer, including digital, wide-format and business imaging products. It is a division of Murnane Paper Company, headquartered in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Total U.S. Printing-Writing Paper Shipments Decreased 7% in April
(Washington DC, USA, May 25, 2017) The American Forest & Paper Association has released its April 2017 Printing-Writing Paper Report. According to the report released on May 24, 2017, total printing-writing paper shipments decreased 7% in April compared to April 2016. All four printing-writing grades posted year-over-year shipment declines in April, though the decline for coated free sheet was less than one-half of one percent. (Graz, Austria, May 31, 2017) ANDRITZ announced that it has signed a contract for the acquisition of Paperchine, Inc., owned by AstenJohnson Holdings Ltd., headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina.
