Total European Shipments of Graphic Papers in November 2016 Down 1.4% versus Nov. 2015
(Brussels, Belgium, Feb. 1, 2017) EURO-GRAPH, the European Association of Graphic Paper Producers, published its November 2016 statistics of the European Graphic Papers Industry, which showed total shipments of graphic papers in November were 2,867,000 tonnes, a decrease of 41,000 tonnes, or 1.4%, versus November of 2015.
Graphic Paper grades include: Newsprint, SC-Magazine, Coated Mechanical Reels, Uncoated Mechanical Reels, Coated Woodfree and Uncoated Woodfree.
In November, total European shipments of Newsprint were 651,000 tonnes compared to 674,000 tonnes in November of 2015, a decrease of 3.5%.
Total shipments of SC-Magazine paper in November were 332,000 tonnes compared to 319,000 tonnes in November of 2015, an increase of 4.0%.
Total Shipments of Coated Mechanical Reels in November were 524,000 tonnes, down 4.2%, versus a November 2015 figure of 547,000 tonnes.
Shipments of Uncoated Mechanical papers in November were 197,000 tonnes, down 4.8%, compared to 207,000 tonnes in November of 2015.
Total shipments of Coated Woodfree papers in November were 554,000 tonnes, up 0.7% compared to 550,000 tonnes in November 2015.
Total shipment of Uncoated Woodfree papers in November were 610,000 tonnes, holding even with 610,000 tonnes in November 2015.
