Total European Shipments of Graphic Papers in August Increased 1.5%
(Brussels, Oct. 25, 2016) EURO-GRAPH, the European Association of Graphic Paper Producers, published its August 2016 statistics of the European Graphic Papers Industry, which showed total shipments of graphic papers in August were 2,795,000 tonnes, up 1.5% or 41,000 tonnes versus August 2015.
Graphic Paper grades include: Newsprint, SC-Magazine, Coated Mechanical Reels, Uncoated Mechanical Reels, Coated Woodfree and Uncoated Woodfree.
In August, total European shipments of Newsprint were 647,000 tonnes compared to 615,000 tonnes in August of 2015, an increase of 5.3%.
Total shipments of SC-Magazine paper in August were 335,000 tonnes compared to 305,000 tonnes in August of 2015, an increase of 9.7%.
Total Shipments of Coated Mechanical Reels in Agust were 541,000 tonnes, down 0.8%, versus an August 2015 figure of 546,000 tonnes.
Shipments of Uncoated Mechanical papers in August were 201,000 tonnes, up 1.4% compared to 198,000 tonnes in August of 2015.
Total shipments of Coated Woodfree papers in August were 506,000 tonnes, a decrease of 1.9% compared to 516,000 tonnes shipped in August 2015.
Total shipment of Uncoated Woodfree papers in August were 564,000 tonnes, a decrease of 1.8% compared to 574,000 tonnes in August 2015.
