Total European Shipments of Graphic Papers in April 2017 Down 7.2% versus April 2016
(June 26, 2017) EURO-GRAPH, the European Association of Graphic Paper Producers, published its April 2017 statistics of the European Graphic Papers Industry, which showed total shipments of graphic papers in April were 2,534,000 tonnes, a decrease of 197,000 tonnes, (-7.2%) compared to April of 2016.
Graphic Paper grades include: Newsprint, SC-Magazine, Coated Mechanical Reels, Uncoated Mechanical Reels, Coated Woodfree and Uncoated Woodfree.
In April, total European shipments of Newsprint were 593,000 tonnes compared to 643,000 tonnes in April of 2016, a decrease of 7.8%.
Total shipments of SC-Magazine paper in April were 294,000 tonnes compared to 312,000 tonnes in April of 2016, a decrease of 5.8%.
Total Shipments of Coated Mechanical Reels in April were 450,000 tonnes, down 9.2%, versus an April 2016 figure of 496,000 tonnes.
Shipments of Uncoated Mechanical papers in April were 186,000 tonnes, down 8.3%, compared to 202,000 tonnes in April of 2016.
Total shipments of Coated Woodfree papers in April were 471,000 tonnes, a drop of 5.4% compared to 498,000 tonnes in April 2016.
Total shipment of Uncoated Woodfree papers in April were 539,000 tonnes, down 6.8% from 579,000 tonnes in April 2016.
