Toscotec to Supply Lucart with New Tissue Machine in Italy
(Italy, Dec. 14, 2017) Toscotec announced that it will supply Lucart Group with a new AHEAD-2.0S tissue machine, which will be installed at Lucart’s Polcari paper mill in the province of Lucca, Italy.
The new machine will replace one of the mill’s two MG (machine glazed) paper machines installed in 1976.
The new line will have an operating speed of 2,000 mpm and production capacity of 35,000 tons per year of high quality tissue paper from both pure cellulose and recycled paper.
Toscotec’s scope of supply also includes a new automatic rewinder equipped with 3 unwinding stations.
Installation is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2018.
Toscotec’s service division will provide supervision for erection, start-up and training of the paper mill’s personnel.
Lucart is leading European producer of MG paper, tissue and airlaid products. The company’s production capacity exceeds 300,000 tpy on 10 paper machines and 58 converting lines. (Source: Toscotec)
