Schur Flexibles takes majority holding in Drukkerij Zwart
(The Netherlands, Nov. 21, 2016) The Schur Flexibles Group acquires a majority holding in the Dutch company Drukkerij Zwart B.V. The takeover of the majority of the shares, which was agreed on 4 November 2016, is subject to the approval of the cartel authorities.
Schur Flexibles produces and distributes high quality flexible packaging solutions for the food, tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.
With the acquisition of Zwart, one of the leading Dutch companies in the flexible packaging sector, the Group has supplemented its portfolio by a true specialist in packaging production for smaller order sizes.
Zwart supplies international customers in the tea, coffee and confectionary sectors and is increasingly represented on European as well as on international markets. Alongside the very modern and efficient main plant in Amersfoort in the Netherlands, the company also operates a production location in St. Petersburg in Russia. The current management will remain in place and continues to be co-owner of Zwart.
The integration of Zwart is expanding the Schur Flexibles Group to a total of 13 companies with 13 production locations.
