SCA fined by Poland’s competition watchdog
(Warsaw, Feb. 01, 2017) Poland’s competition watchdog UOKiK has handed fines for a total of PLN 3.29 million (€750,000) to SCA Hygiene, SCA Hygiene Products and the companies’ distributors in the Polish market.
“The unlawful cooperation was related to the prices of hygienic products, such as paper towels … and tissue paper,” the authority said in a statement.
The UOKiK said that the companies agreed on the minimum re-sale prices of their products for institutional customers, and, as a result, took part in “a cooperation to limit market competition,” according to the statement. (Source: press release)
