Huhtamaki introduces Future Smart; paper cup with renewable bio-based coating
(Finland, October 17, 2016) Huhtamaki introduces its first 100% renewable paper cup solution for hot and cold beverages, ice cream and takeout food.
Future SmartTM is 100% renewable paper cup made entirely from plant based materials. The new cup uses paperboard from PEFC certified sustainably managed forests and a newly developed plant-based polyethylene as a moisture barrier coating.
