Belgium’s Van Genechten to expand Polish cardboard packaging plant
(Brussels, Oct. 10, 2016) To increase output capacity Belgian cardboard packaging producer Van Genechten has unveiled plans to raise the output capacity of its factory in Chełmek, in Poland’s southern part.
In the past 18 months, the manufacturer invested about €7 million at its plant, and aims to further boost its output in Chełmek, reports local news site Rynekpapierniczy.pl.
The plant supplies its output to a number of global producers from the FMCG sector, including Unilever, Procter & Gamble and Mars. It is owned by the group’s local subsidiary VG Polska, and operated by more than 180 employees. (Source: press release)
