(New York, Oct. 23, 2016) SCA recently announced plans to spin out its paper mills and timberland representing about 6% of Sweden’s land mass in order to focus on its faster-growing hygiene business. That business includes paper napkins and toilet paper, where SCA’s Tork brand is No. 2 in the U.S. commercial market following its $513 million purchase of Wausau Paper in January. But the real growth vehicles are feminine products and adult diapers, which, if you think about it, have nowhere to go but up in the aging developed markets as well as in China, where the population is also growing older fast. …
