Total U.S. Printing-Writing Paper Shipments Decreased 7% in April
(Washington DC, USA, May 25, 2017) The American Forest & Paper Association has released its April 2017 Printing-Writing Paper Report. According to the report released on May 24, 2017, total printing-writing paper shipments decreased 7% in April compared to April 2016. All four printing-writing grades posted year-over-year shipment declines in April, though the decline for coated free sheet was less than one-half of one percent. Andritz to acquire Paperchine
(Graz, Austria, May 31, 2017) ANDRITZ announced that it has signed a contract for the acquisition of Paperchine, Inc., owned by AstenJohnson Holdings Ltd., headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina. Paperchine and its subsidiaries have approximately 180 employees in total and manufacturing facilities in the USA (Rockton, IL, Springfield, MA, and Tucker, GA), Canada (Vancouver), Thailand (Bangkok), and Germany (Maintal).

Grupo Gondi to Build New Containerboard Mill in Mexico
