Romania’s Vrancart eyes €14.7M investment
(Bucharest, Romania, Sept. 09, 2016) Romania’s cardboard maker Vrancart Adjud is aiming to acquire funds from the Romanian state to implement an investment worth some RON 65.6 million (€14.7 million) in expanding and modernising its output capacity.

Hengan Starts Up Valmet-supplied Tissue Line in Wuhu, China
(Helsinki, Sept. 6, 2016) Valmet announced that an Advantage DCT 200HS tissue line supplied by Valmet successfully started up in August at Hengan’s paper mill in Wuhu, Anhui province in China.
According to Valmet, the installation and commissioning were performed in record time and the start-up went very smoothly. The new tissue machine adds another 60,000 annual tons of tissue products to Hengan’s current production of more than one million tons per year.

(Italy / China, Sept. 06, 2016) Vinda Paper (China) Co., Ltd. in Sanjiang mill, Jiangmen, has started up two new Toscotec’s machines, TM 9 & 10. Both machines are AHEAD-2.0M with a design speed of 1,800 mpm.

Resolute’s Calhoun Tissue Operation on Track for First-Quarter 2017 Start-Up

DS Smith Completes Acquisition of Deku-Pack in Denmark; obtains €3.2M financing to develop Hungarian operations
(London, Sept. 5, 2016) DS Smith said that it has completed the acquisition of Deku-Pack, following receipt of competition authority clearance.
Terms of the deal, which was announced on July 20, were not disclosed.

(Sept. 07, 2016) Solenis signed an agreement to acquire the shares in Nopco Holding AS and related subsidiaries (“Nopco”), a producer and supplier of advanced chemical solutions for the pulp and paper industry.
